December 2015 and January 2016 have almost been defined by my hobbies. While I've dipped in and out of photography, I've never really gotten to grips with electronics.
In December, the Raspberry Pi Zero came out and having got my hands on one, I've now ended up with a whole bunch of small components and now a soldering iron and PCBs!
Todays photos combines my two hobbies. Using a small tripod, wired remote (setting a 30 second delay) and a flash I was able to capture my first efforts in soldering for over 15 years!
Lots to learn, but the small circuit I put together worked when hooked up to the Pi Zero. This is just a test however, and I'll be looking to plan the circuitry a bit better when I actually start putting something together.
