Day 299 of 365 (Year Two)
Today was a long day. We got up early, I gave Savanah a bath and then we headed out to get a birthday gift for a friend of Savanah's. Then it was off to Columbia for the birthday party. As we were leaving Target with the gift the drizzle we had all morning turned into quite the wind driven downpour. The twenty minute drive to Columbia turned into a 45 minute ordeal. The gusts of wind were strong enough to push me around a bit on the road the visibility was awful.
The party was at Build-A-Bear and my ears are still ringing from that. Imagine 12 kids hopped up on sugar who have been told that indoor voices aren't allowed. The kids had fun, but oh my god was it loud.
The trip home from Columbia was just as long as the trip down. The wind wasn't as bad, but the traffic was much heavier. It was exhausting.
On top of all of that, Savanah was suffering from motormouthitis and hadn't stopped talking since she woke me up at 8 this morning.
For the past two hours, all I've been doing is yawning. I figured I might as well get a shot of that since these yawns have dominated my evening activities. I'm off to bed in a few. I think I'm going to sleep rather well tonight.
