My brother gave me a raft trip down the Skagit River. There were only 5 of us in the raft and 2 were guides. No one else was floating down the river. I really liked this shot even though I got eagles with fish in the river, flying, etc.
We got off the raft here at Rock Creek to wander around. There were bear tracks all over, older and fresh. I wasn't feeling too secure since I figured the four others could all run faster than me. You know I wanted to see that bear though, but I didn't look very hard.
There are lots of chum spawning right now. We even saw them fighting in the shallow creek with part of their bodies out of the water.
It was a beautiful, sunny winter day. Apparently I whined enough about being unemployed because when we got off the river, the float company (Pacific NW Float Trips) gave me a free pass for another one.
