This was my first time caring for such young and sickly kittens as these, but there wasn’t time to worry about it too much, between multiple feedings, baths and medicating for the plethora of ailments common to foundlings. Despite Thomas’s strong spirit he was the weakest, physically, of the four I brought home. The veterinarian expressed concern that the cloudy film over his eyes would never go away. Sometimes after his bottle, he developed a gurgly sound in his chest that sounded like the spewing of a cappuccino machine. It was an alarming sound, but you couldn’t help but smile because he didn’t seem to notice it, or any of his other physical ailments.
