    Great! really like the concept! Maybe steering could be achieved by moving a small weight inside the vehicle? Dunno, but I'm sure gonna have a play with this design! Thanks!

    @maniacyak: Maybe! I don't know if it would work. Lowering even more the center of mass would do the trick I think!

    @Alex K BCN: I believe it would work! I thought of that myself. I was short on time tough, so I didn't had the time to implement steering.

    Great idea, and very interesting! Congratulations on this achievement in LEGO and who knows you'll just have to contact by NASA for making plans and specifications ;-).

    I think the rocking might be due to resonance. If you just change the mass a little bit (add or remove bricks) you might be able to change the resonant frequency so that it won't rock as much.

    Steering would be a neat trick. How would you steer a monowheel in real life? Tilting it slightly?

    @bill Ward's: I think the rocking is mainly because just one of the two wheels of the vehicle is doing the traction. If both of the wheels where pulling it forward it wouldn't rock as much.

    About the steering one of the ideas I have is the one you suggested. Other possibilty would be to make something coming out of one of the sides of the vehicle and touching the ground to make it change direction.

    Well, maybe if you made it balance very well, you could use a motor to extend a rod with a weight on each end out to either side to steer. And then off the ground, but able to provide support you could have some wheels to keep it from tipping.

    You could make it steerable by putting a small but heavy wheel inside that can spin on a vertical axle. This way, if the traction between the main wheel and the ground is low enough, the conservation of angular momentum would cause the entire vehicle to spin around the same vertical axle.

    Sounds simple but actually realizing it in LEGO would be an enormous challenge I think :)
