Bishops Stone Killadeas, Co.Fermanagh

Situated in the cemetery of the Parish Church of Killadeas are several interesting stones, probably the most noted is known as the Bishops Stone, this odd shaped stone has been altered and reused several times, originally thought to have been a carved figure similar to those on nearby White Island, the body of the figure has been chiselled away and replaced with interlacing, later an ecclesiastical figure carrying a bell and crozier was carved on the western side of the stone and also the inscription "ROBARTACH" added. It is thought the stone may have also been used as a corbel at some time.
