Oak Room

Sir Henry named this room the Napolean Drawing Room. It is unknown exactly why, but the decoration seems to date from just before Napoleon's reign as emperor. The limewood was imported from England.

While the men retired to the Smoking and Billiards room the ladies would retire to the Oak Room. Lady Mary would often play the piano as entertainment for her guests.
