Pre-Idea (266/365 09-23-09)
I was changing a light bulb in a lamp (swapping the traditional bulb for one of those energy efficient twisty bulbs) and placed the old bulb atop my scanner, the lid of which is black.
After I finished, I was about to pick up the old bulb and put it in a box when I noticed how much I liked the way it looked sitting on that black background. I grabbed my camera and set it to under expose to compensate for the black. The first few photos were alright, but not exactly what I wanted. I then set the EV at -2 stops and shot again. This time, I was delighted with the results.
(The more I use this Pentax K-7, the more I love it. It is a delight to shoot.)
