Thebes - South Wall of Court of Sheshonk

Approximately 30 years ago, we acquired a collection of lantern slides in London. I would welcome any comments and input, especially if it relates to likely dates of the pictures.


More recent photos show repairs (cement?) to fill in the holes (eg next to his thigh). I do not know when the repairs were undertaken


Title as on original slide: research has shown that Sheshonk (also spelled Shoshenq) is Shoshenq I and wall depicts a list of city states conquered by him in his Near Eastern military campaigns. See wikipedia for more information
