Ruhnama monument

In Ashgabat, the capital, there are many monuments to past events and anniversaries and the late president (he died last year), Turkmenbashi. He wrote several books, the first was Ruhnama, which was required reading for all school children and recommended reading for all citizens, say around 2 hours a day or so. In the park is a large monument to the book. supposedly it opens once a day as well but we never saw that.
