Bottles Of Pefume

He still had enough perfume left to enslave the whole world if he so chose. He could walk to Versailles and have the King kiss his feet. He could write the Pope a perfumed letter and reveal himself as the new Messiah. He could do all this, and more, if he wanted to. He possessed a power stronger than the power of money, or terror, or death - the invincible power to command the love of mankind. ~ excerpt from 'Perfume: The Story of a Murderer', by Patrick Suskind. 'Perfume' is a really good book, and I tell you now, without hesitation, that you must read it. The film of the same name is also very good and, as I recall, pretty faithful to the text. These bottles are from my mother's bathroom cupboard. I only ever have one bottle of perfume at any one time (currently Love Etc. by The Body Shop - I know, I know, but it's much nicer than their usual sickeningly sweet and fruity offerings) but my mother has several, as you can see. Glad I can't smell at the moment! ;)

PS: I know I'm being a rubbish Flickr-er at the moment. Please forgive me, I still love you! x
