Funerary relief from Neumagen depicting a woman's hair being dressed by her slaves, circa 220 AD, Rheinisches Landesmuseum Trier, Germany

The panel shows a mistress at her morning toilette, served by 4 female slaves. Two women dress her hair, while the third holds a round mirror and the fourth brings a jug of water. All the women wear long-sleeved tunics, but the mistress also wears a palla bordered with a fringe.
