Suso for Get Pushed
I´m back to Get Pushed!! My partner for this one was Mark Hopkings, a great photographer who pushed me to my limit, shooting portraits. Mark is a wonderful photographer, an artist I suggest you visit his wonderful photostream. This is what he requested of me:
I found very few quality portraits though... so, this will be your challenge. A portrait. It can be in black and white or color. I'm going to push a bit harder and say it CANNOT be a self portrait. It can be indoor or outdoor, but be conscious of lighting, and try to capture the essence of the individual you choose. Avoid harsh lights and shadows. If taking outdoors, also be aware of the background... make sure your portrait emphasizes the subject.
Supreme bonus points if you can get one of the following styles into your image and describe how you did it (but not required):
Rembrant (Triple supreme bonus points for this one)
I must say it´s been tough, I knew I wanted to take a picture of my husband but this is even tougher he hates being photographed and he´s not going through the best of times. After researching for a while I knew I wanted a B/W picture and a low key one. I have to say he was very pleased with it and so am I.
I hope you like it. I´m also taking advantage of this one and using it for my 112 pictures in 2012: b/w portrait.
