M for Majuscule & Miniscule
Challenge: To incorporate texture in our piece by using gesso, punchinella, artist cement, beeswax, spray webbing, crackle, gauze/netting, melted plastic bags, adhesive paper lace, bead texture gel, or even visually textured papers and fabrics.
My Take: I used medical gauze, Golden's Moulding Paste and acrylic paint to achieve texture. Majuscules are capitals or "upper case" letterforms where all 26 letters share the same height. Miniscules are "lower case" letterforms, but their height can vary due to the ascenders and descenders.
