Suwannee River

During the second day on the Suwannee River, the expedition team continues upstream from a campsite north of the Roline boat launch, through the Suwannee River Water Management District's Cypress Creek and Roline Conservation Areas. Friends from the Everglades Foundation and Palm Beach Photographic Center came to visit the Roline tract in their helicopter where they provided flights for photography and video. The team crossed into Georgia in the early afternoon and made camp on exposed sandbar just south of Fargo.

The Florida Wildlife Corridor Expedition. From January 17 through April 25, 2012, a team of explorers including photographer Carlton Ward Jr, cinematographer Elam Stoltzfus, bear biologist Joe Guthrie and conservationist Mallory Lykes Dimmitt, set out to trek 1000 miles in 100 days to showcase the opportunity to protect a connected corridor of natural lands and waters throughout peninsular Florida for the benefit of wildlife and people.
