Centre Georges Pompidou
Paris, Île-de-France - France
The Centre Georges-Pompidou, also called "Beaubourg", located near Les Halles and the Marais, houses the Musée National d'Art Moderne.
Designed by Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers, it features an exposed skeleton showing the colored tubes of its mechanical systems. All of the functional structural elements of the building are colour-coded: green pipes are plumbing, blue ducts are for climate control, electrical wires are encased in yellow, and circulation elements and devices for safety (e.g., fire extinguishers) are red.
