Nice angle. Is Cathay getting rid of their 744s?

Cathay operating an aircraft with Pratt & Whitney-powered aircraft? I though they were a staunch Rolls-Royce customer!

Thanks too. Yes, They've got 777-300s and A350-900s on order that will eventually replace them. So far they've shown no interest in the 747-8i or A380 but you never know
Thanks. It's the most classic of all airliners. (maybe the Concorde is a rival)
      Thanks very much!
      Thanks also!
      Thanks Jan!
      She's the one and only!
      Thanks. It sure is!
Thanks, she is a great plane for sure!
Yes this 747 has Pratt & Whitney engines. Apparently a deal was struck in 2006 for their 747 freighter fleet:

Beautiful Cathay! Even with P&W engines! Sorry to read their history soon in Cathay pax service, but they have got the 747-8F..

Thanks. It is a beauty. CX seems to be settling on the 77W as their premiere long haul aircraft for the moment. Kinda sad for the 747.
      Thanks Peter!
