It doesn’t matter how many times you fall; it’s the number of times you get back up again that count
I never use quotes for my photos, they usually have proper titles but this one is different. My daughter is training ice skating and is a beautiful yet quite tough sport. There are times when you spend more time on the floor that actually skating, and even though she might not become a champ in the sport I alway tell her that phrase, and it doesn't work for sport only.
Besite this "philosophical" moment, this time shooting with the D7000 I left the flash at home and pumped hard the ISO. I went 3200 to get at least 1/200 sec at f2.8, in fact the light in the skating dome is quite poor. I left the camera deal with the noise reduction and to be honest I'm not disappointed with the results, but most of all I could shoot at an amazing rate and have a better chance to catch jumps, turns and acrobatic or fast action. The only edit on this image has been done in Lightroom, with the paint brush I sent the whole background to pure white heaven, sent the chroma noise reduction to +100, noise reduction itself to +10 and the mask to +60. Not a photo you can enlarge too much, yet ok for web and smaller prints
