Something about this part of Skye makes it work really well with dark skies above, which is fortunate because that's mostly what you get. This is Sgurr nan Gillean again, but from a different angle, showing the famous pinnacle ridge.
I had sat up on a neighbouring ridge, huddled against the howling wind, for a good hour waiting for this kind of light. I gave up eventually when my food ran out and I couldn't put any more clothes on to prevent me from shivering. An hour and a half later.... there we go. If I'd had this light with the angle I had earlier.... The sun poked through the clouds for almost a full minute. Mind you, 30 minutes later it pissed down with rain which made me very glad I wasn't still up there. Swings and roundabouts.
