Sunset on Colin Range - Jasper National Park

Taken at 10:30 in the evening.

The Colin Mountain Range, Jasper National Park, Alberta.

The Colin Range is composed of Devonian carbonate rock. Massive limestone formations form the big cliffs of the Front Range, such as here. The Colin Range is named for Colin Fraser who was in charge of the Jasper House around 1835. Note the natural sunset lighting on the cliff faces and in the sky. The view is to the north.
