The first of a serie of 9 or 10 analog shots of NYC. In fact, I shot only one roll of color film during my two months journey in NYC last year. I also wish I took more BW analog... But whatever, I'll come back to NYC, this time with my Leica M6 and plenty of films...

So, there is the story of this serie starting with this shot. It was two or three days before leaving NYC. I was beginning to feel sad about the end of my journey coming soon. But outside the sun was shining in a sky blue as I never had sawn it before... It was one of the last days of August, so the sun wasn't that high in the sky, compared to how it used to be at the beginning of my journey, which is quite a big deal when it comes to take pictures in the middle of the day... And for once the temperature was quite bearable! In a few words, it was a perfect summer day with a slight taste of Fall...

I loaded a roll of recently expired color film, and went out with the idea, for once, to take classic pictures, I mean, not try to be original just in order to be original... Just take picture in order to show to my friends and family, take the pictures that everybody takes, with the certainty that the weather conditions were perfect for this...

It was just one year ago, and when I look back to this day, I'm more nostalgic than ever...
