Eisenstadt City Museum in Sandór Wolf's home.
Sandor Wolf's home and Haydn's organ.. I am leaning on it and dreaming... .
The Museum in this home is well-worth visiting. Although it is not *the* Eisenstadt Jewish Museum, there are many items of relevance to the erstwhile historic Jewish community - once one of the most important in Europe.
It is not generally known that Sandor Wolf was the grandfather of the world-renown potter Lucie Rie –
Wolf, Sándor, b. Eisenstadt (Burgenland), Nov. 21, 1871, d. Haifa (Israel), Jan. 2, 1946, wine wholesaler, art collector and researcher. ... search his name on the site: AEIOU Austria [currently offline!] .
