borscht served

Borscht can be served hot or cold. It is usually served with sour cream and sometimes dill.

I've disliked borscht since I was a kid, but just recently my husband encouraged me to try some that a Ukranian friend of ours had made for him. I had to forgo the sour cream, but I really liked it. Amazing what time and age can do for the taste buds.

I'll take mine with sour cream and dill. It makes such a pretty picture! However, I think we should start a rule that when cook-photographers post wonderful pictures of their creations, that a recipe should be included to enrich ALL the senses of the viewers. :^D Or perhaps just a link to a good recipe online?? Can't find one online that has all your ingredients pictured and I'd love to try it with beef. My partner might even eat his vegetables if I did. :^D

Great picture: I just used it for a blog on borscht. Thanks for making the picture creative commons! blogs.worldwatch.org/transformingcultures/making-borscht-...

Thanks for allowing sharing of your beautiful photo - I have used it for my small (only accessible to a dozen people) cooking club.
