I am not Catholic, but because I support a charity that is, I receive all sorts of literature and items aimed at Catholics. Yesterday, I received a rosary with pretty red beads. Judging by the solicitations that I receive, marketers believe I am Catholic/Buddhist/Christian/Jewish and Gay/Straight/Bisexual and probably Black/Caucasian/Asianwith young children/aged parents and interests that range from computers/cameras/chinapatterns to hunting/fishing/doll collecting. Marketers fascinate me. Many days, my dead mother recieves far more mail than I do. Because she died 8 years ago, I wonder how long the marketers will persist. Perhaps marketing lists constitute true immortality. Maybe the lists last forever.
