2015 Field To Vase: The Flower Fields in Carlsbad, CA
For the very first time in The Flower Fields' history, a select group of only 119 guests enjoyed an unforgettable evening the American Grown "Field to Vase" dinner in Carlsbad, CA. The dinner took place in the heart of the blooms.

It was amazing.

Third generation flower farmer Mike Mellano personally lead guests on tours of the fields and spoke about the growing and harvesting of flowers. With a PhD in plant pathology and a lifetime of hands-on experience, Mike is an expert on growing beautiful flowers.

Marissa Gerlach, executive chef of Vista Valley Country Club in Vista, California, was the evening's featured chef.

Marissa has a deep interest in the connections between food, agriculture and the history of cuisine, and she strives to use fresh and local ingredients in all of her menus.

Bess Wyrick of the renowned Los Angeles and New York-based studio Celadon & Celery was responsible for the dinner's floral design, using Ranunculus in every hue.
