fire on ice...

    Abraham Lake at sunrise...
This was probably the most spectacular sunrise I've ever experienced as far as color intensity goes... This light stuck around for a good ten minutes too.
Believe it or not, there was very little post processing done. In fact, I had to De-saturate the colors a little bit because the raw file was too rich... The polarizer I used helped the ice bubbles stand out a bit, and the grad ND helped even out the exposure...

1Ds Mk III - Zeiss 18mm Distagon - B+W circular polarizer - Singh Ray 3 stop soft grad ND.

What a gorgeous image. I'm dying to get up there. I just ordered the Canon mount for a Zeiss 18mm I picked up. Great to see what it can do here!!
