2021 Wildfire Preparedness Week Press Conference Los Angeles County May 7, 2021

After a record-breaking 2020 fire season, now is the time to dramatically increase your safety and the survivability of your home by preparing well in advance of a wildfire. CAL FIRE is raising awareness and encouraging families and communities to take a hands-on approach in wildfire preparedness. CAL FIRE, joined by the US Forest Service, Cal OES, and other local, state and federal fire and emergency officials spoke about wildfire readiness, mutual aid, and preparations for the 2021 fire season including prescribed fire and vegetation management, and how the public can prepare as well through home hardening and defensible space.
