This was taken in the Churchyard of St. Clement's, a very beautiful little English Church in Old Romney.
Andy and I were heading for the coast, but on the way down the main road saw this place. We'd passed it many times meaning to stop, so I turned around and we parked and went in.
The light couldn't have been any better - low and golden, causing long shadows to stretch across the damp grass.
I spent a long time taking photographs of the wider landscape: trees, the church, the gravestones and surrounding fields, but as is often the case when I'm on a shoot, my favourite shot was of the tiniest detail.
I got damp knees taking this, but I hope it was worth it :]
