Exactly 10 years ago tomorrow (based on the day I am viewing this), my father died. He was a veteran of WW II, and I have the flag presented to us family members at the cemetery. I also have his photo of his unit, his discharge papers and the memories of his storytelling about the men with whom he proudly served. He was modest - I had no idea how many items from his service existed until after he died - and he was my hero. I salute your Dad, his heroism, his pride - and your love of him.

I know how you feel about your dad because I feel the same way about mine. My dad served in the Army ,fought in Korea and was captured by the Chinese and was a P.O.W. for 27 1/2 months. He passed away a few months ago and there isn't a day goes by that i don't think about him and miss him.
