Chicago's rapid transit

You had to know that I would put a train photo up from Chicago. Knowing how much I love train images. It's called the "L" by history and the "el" by Chicago. Whatever you call it, you gotta love it as it shots between the highrise building. It's like a little piece of history moving around you.

The Chicago "L" system is a unification of lines built in 1888 and formerly operated by competing companies. The companies were fully unified in 1924, though the operations of the previous companies were maintained as divisions of the united unit. In 1947, the system went public and underwent many changes before taking on its present form.
