Sparrow Swoosher Instructions
Thank you, Peter Morris!
Full size image on Brickshelf:
A while back, Peter surprised me by saying he had put a few of my creations into MLCAD, including my original Sparrow. When I uploaded the recently revised Sparrow MkII, it prompted Peter to put together some instructions for anyone interested in building their own model of the original.
The revised version isn't all that different from the first, so you can probably figure out how to upgrade to that version by using the photos I've got.
I'd love to see what sort of other variations different builders could come up with! Happy Swooshing!
BUILDERS NOTES: Peter's version uses "trapping" to hold the engine mount in place (i.e. no stud connection). My version had one of these brackets inserted in front of the 2 grill plates inside the tail on Peter's instructions (See Note), meaning the 2x6 slopes of the "engine block" are only attached at the top.
Also note: the wings are only attached by the hinge plates, but the top of the tail keeps them snugly into position--they fit in just under the 1x1 cylinders.
