Canadian Family Robin-son

A North American Robin feeds three young in the relative safety of the nest. The nest was located in Presqu'ile Provincial Park near Brighton, Ontario.

This nest was only metres away from my campsite. A tree limb had snapped off over the winter and the nest was built on top of the remaining part of the limb in the tree. It was about 15 feet off the ground. This photo was taken from a distance of about 25 feet at the edge of my campsite using a long lens so as to not disturb the birds. I enjoyed watching as the adult robins flew away and returned over and over with food for their young.
