In honor of Halloween and Dia de los Muertos, I bring you mummies from Mexico! We took these photos (I believe Mr. Bunchofpants did the actual photographing) ten years ago on our trip to Guanajuato, which of course had to include a visit to the Museo de las Momias (hay una pagina en español aqui). He was using a bottom-of-the line point-and-shoot camera (sort of one step above a disposable), and the mummies were all encased in glass, so the quality isn't spectacular.

For anyone planning a trip to Mexico, I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to Guanajuato.

Just for the record, I'd like to be cremated when I die.

and pants, that reminds me...i was telling my grandmother yesterday that i wanted to be cremated when i died, as well as my mother and siblings. she said with her nose turned up at me (in her best i'm-far-superior-to you-voice), "well i don't want to be cremeated, how will you leave your mark? no one will ever know you existed." i told her that i guess that's just not important to me.

    i take pictures...there for i am

Well said auntnanny. Further more, if leaving your mark means you end up looking like this poor fellow...

I think I will go postal or something and take a bunch of people out with me before I go ... that'll leave a mark!
  • Mark Daniels 10y

That would definitely leave a mark Pants. I have a list for you to work off of.

there is a company that could make your ashes into a diamond...then you could have yourself made into a piece of jewelry and make your mark by being someone's else twinkler.
