Sperm Whale stranded Hunstanton 1 of 7
Four Sperm Whales were seen very close inshore under Hunstanton cliffs last night, three swan back out into The Wash and one this big Bull got stranded. Probably already injured it was bleeding heavily fro its tail, as the tide ebbed away so did its life. Today a team of vets from ZSL raced against the tide to carry out an autopsy and crowds of curious sightseers gathered to view this stranded giant. This was the third or fourth stranded SpermWhale I have seen in the 16 or so years that I lived here. The last one also on Hunstanton Beach is my most viewed image on Flickr.
