Purdon Crossing (Explored)

Here's another one of those Spit Ball destinations. Even though it was only 8 miles from my house I had to travel for 5 miles on a bumpy dirt road. Still it was worth the effort. This hybrid steel/wooden bridge was built in 1895 in order connect the gold mines with Nevada City proper. It was a little freaky to drive across but hey, you only go round once and the Yuba River is so pretty at this spot.
