Strawberry Acres Path, Holland, Ohio
The Strawberry Festival began in 1938 as a community effort to raise funds for various projects and groups. It was interrupted after 1941 by WW2 and the funds raised were put into government bonds. It was decided in the early 1950s to purchased about 27-29 acres that could be developed into a park. The festival was continued in 1952 and has run continuously since that time. The park was given to the village of Holland and it has since been developed into a lush picnic and walking area.
