BSRM 9128
BSRM 9128 is a model SW-9 diesel-electric switcher manufactured by the Electro-Motive Division (EMD) of General Motors in LaGrange, IL. It was built in December 1952 and is equipped with a model 12-567-B, twelve-cylinder diesel engine, which generates 1,200 hp. Built for the Pennsylvania Railroad as number 8528, it was designated class ES-12m. It became Penn Central 9128 in 1968, and passed to Conrail in 1976. BSRM purchased 9128 from a private owner in 2006. Currently undergoing a multi-year evaluation and restoration, this unit will be placed into regular service as time and resources permit.
