Malaysia: Monkey business - Mother and child

Some 12,000 orang-utans are believed to live in the forests of Sabah and Sarawak and the Semmongoh Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre is one of the best places to sneak a peek at these shy and gentle, ginger-haired apes. Located 20 kilometres away from Kuching, this sanctuary is a safe haven for injured and orphaned orang-utans and is home to 26 of these ‘men of the forest.’
