GOLDEN EAGLE | by Aquila-chrysaetos

This adult Golden Eagle came soaring over at very close range, and gave me excellent looks, but as I was trying to photo it,it played the old "fly into the sun and blind them" trick, which actually oversaturated the photo, giving me more detail than I would have otherwise got. Good thing I wasn't watching it in my binoculars though. It was no accident either, raptors often get in the sun and use the light to increase their visibility. Anyone who ever has used binoculars or a spotting scope knows that lighting can make all the difference in the world in picking up extra hidden details.such as a rabbit hidden under a bush.
