So I am decorating for Thanksgiving this year. Here is one of the projects I have planned. You know how it is with plans... haha... but this one I actually accomplished. There are at least two more projects to complete. Wish me luck.

I bought these letters at the craft store. They were plain papier-mâché letters that I covered with patterned paper. I cut the leaves from the same paper using a template. The paper is double-sided cardstock paper from K & Company. The leaves got ruffled and inked a bit to make them look real. Well, as real as a patterned paper leaf gets.

The acorns are the pièce de résistance, though! The meaty part is cut from rusty metal mesh. The hat part is cut from a piece of gold embossed paper. They are really cool.
