Bridgehenge, Fair Harbor, Fire Island, NY 2016

On Saturday, July 23 at 8:15:37 we will only be 148 years away from the Sesquicentennial Anniversary of Bridgehenge in Fair Harbor. Of course, ye all knoweth, Bridgehenge occurs when the evening sun doth set over thyne bridge as vieweth from the dock…or the nearest Saturday which is close enough, although the sun may not be where it should be. There is a long history of Fair Harborites celebrating back to the year of our Lord 2015. So get your Druid on. Grab thy tallest stalk of Phragmite or Bamboo (Who can forget what happened to the last person who showed up without?) and come on down. Lore has it that ye who fails to celebrate, will ye not celebrate. And ya don’t want that to happen. There is also something about Virgins. Save the date. Bidgehenge 2016. It's kind of like Burning Man without the dessert. If rumors are true, cups with this photo will be available for purchase from Gene Levy at the Pine Walk Faire with proceeds benefitting our community) Photo via Bruce Lorenz
