Urbex The Piano Sanatorium

We visited this old abandoned sanatorium during our 3 day trip in Germany.

This sanatorium has been built by a Jewish doctor in 1912, who named the sanatorium after his wife. It was used as 'Lungheilstatte', to treat people with tubercolosis. During the 2nd world war the doctor and his family had to flee from the Germans and ended up in the United States of America.

In 1967 the buildings were used for a new purpose being a dermatology clinic and used to house upto 90 patients. In 1994 the clinic moved and since then the place has been left abandoned...
