Queen Victoria, Prince Albert and Early British Photography
Queen Victoria and Prince Albert's patronage helped foster the new art form of photography. They attended exhibitions, became patrons of the newly established Photographic Society of London, commissioned portraits and purchased the work of British photographers.

This set contains photographs from the exhibition Victoria & Albert: Art & Love at The Queen's Gallery, Buckingham Palace, until 5 December 2010.

The set also contains photographs from a Royal Collection book and touring exhibition Roger Fenton • Julia Margaret Cameron: Early British Photographs from the Royal Collection at the Aberdeen Art Gallery, 12 June - 21 August 2010 and Blackwell, Bowness-on-Windermere, 31 January - 25 April 2011.
