      Wow! The river look almost completely natural here. Is this totally untouched or did the river just reassert itself?

      Thanks. That is a very tough question you ask. This is the river just above Sepulveda Dam in the Supulveda Basin. It does have a natural, "soft" bottom here and the plant life is spontaneous and there are plenty birds and small mammals. However this is just down stream from D.C. Tillman Water Reclamation Plant and the stream banks have probably been engineered to make for rapid flow during storms.

      So I would have a hard time saying it was "completely natural" but it is about as natural is the LA River is going to get.
