5D Mark II first shots...
You may remember similar shots from last December...this time I'm the hand model. It's good to have the camera there so you can concentrate on the photo instead of how many fingers will be taken off!
All the gory details here (big!):
[For those viewing large] This was ISO 400 but significantly underexposed (trying to save the highlights at the expense of the shadows and it worked) so pushed 1.5 stops in ACR making it the equivalent of ISO 1000 or so. I did not mask the sky from the sharpener so the noise is sharpened which makes it more visible - hardly an issue in a print but I'm sure someone will bring it up.
Lastly, despite the sun and the blue sky it was cold and my wind-chapped hand was freezing by the time we left!
By the way - check out the freephotoguidesusa.blogspot.com/ site if you get time. It's a community based (non-commercial) location guide for photographers around the world. I'm the admin for the USA - Washington and Oregon sites so I've posted a couple guides and also looking for people to write more. Let me know if you're interested.
