series: more than a job
A Detroit firefighter pulls down the flaming wall of a collapsed structure. East side.
So my friends have been giving me a hard time lately about being the last person alive without a Facebook or Twitter account, and about never sharing much news about what's going on with my photography. Anyway, I guess this is my version of a FB post:
I have some work in the new 228-page Banksy book "You Are An Acceptable Level of Threat". It's an awesome book.
I'll have some work in an exhibition that opens this Friday at the Sharolette Chappell Fine Art Studio (Friday, July 20th, 14701 West 11 Mile Road @ 7pm), entitled "Back Home: Americana and Reminiscence of Home". The exhibition will run for at least a month.
Lastly, the CNN folks called again. From Thursday-Sunday, a 90-second featurette will air on television (CNN International) about my firefighter series, along with pre-recorded audio of the interview (pre-recorded is good, so I don't get caught up like Jim Carrey did in "Fun With Dick and Jane", lol).
So there you have it, my pseudo-FB update, and another one of these photos. It feels kinda awkward, to be honest, so that's all I'm sharing for now. This is
more than enough too much social media for me already. :)
