Wild Wild West - Lab Car Interior

The lab car, like the parlor car, is built one side closed and the other side open to show interior detail. To the left is Artemus' laboratory. To the right front is his wardrobe / makeup table where he perfected his many disguises. In the rear one of the horses is stabled. Contest rules permitted 3rd party Brickarms and Brickforge elements which are used to good advantage on the details.

It's a shame! You should have post that earlier on eurobricks. The interior adds a lot more to the allready fantastic creation. Love it!

marshal banana Sadly I was running a train show in parallel and only had enough time to post the exterior :-(

    Very cool.

Actually, Thomas Edison made a lab in a train car, but he started a fire and had his things thrown out.

I'm very familiar with this story. I believe this was when his boss boxed his ears and nearly deafened him.

RealBrickStudios You are more right than you know. 25 years before ex-V&T RR Express Car 21 was featured on the "Wild Wild West" (as shown here), the same exact car portrayed Thomas Edison's lab car in "Young Tom Edison".

marshal banana It would appear that having a gold train is the most important detail for judging.

I love a good cutaway, and this is much better than good! Love the roof beams and the exterior stairs the most, but it is all great!

Tim Gould Trying to predict what will win a Eurobricks contest is like trying to predict where a raindrop will fall ; )

Very nice, reminds of Einstien, Didn't he work as a boy on a railroad car selling newspapers to get money to buy lab equipment, which he also stored on the train?
    Nice build btw :D
