Powell's Books

If you are ever in Portland, make a point to get over to the main Powells Books store. It is an immense collection of books, laid out in a series of rooms that grew by repeated annexation of surrounding buildings. Feels more like wandering through an old house than a store.

 

Oh, and did I mention they have a lot of used/rare books too? They have a couple of satellite stores around Portland as well, focusing on particular areas of interest.
