After picking up my wife from work yesterday, I took the girls up for a hike in Shenandoah at sunset. I knew there wouldn't be any clouds to work with in the image, but the clarity in the air was quite stunning. After that cold front came through on Saturday, you can see for 100 miles here. We waited for that twilight glow on the horizon in the cool evening breeze, and finally the light came out and brought this nice glow to the rocks and sky. This area is tough to shoot because it is a giant area with rocks strewn everywhere, but I was hoping to highlight the foreground lichen, rock lines, and use the chimney rock as my subject. Thanks for looking!
