Brentano - Ostro, Mistral & Sirocco - Back To Basics Collection - Spring 2012

With 7 additions to the Brentano Green label, Back to Basics showcases Brentano’s expertise with producing residential, eco-friendly textiles that expand the boundaries of what is possible in green design.

Ostro

Like its namesake—a mild, rain-carrying wind from the Mediterranean Sea—54” upholstery Ostro offers warmth and substance in two natural colorways. Woven from 100% Belgian linen in a basketweave pattern, its heavy yarns provide a comfortable texture and hand suitable for sofas and chairs in upscale residential interiors. Part of the Brentano Green label, this pattern passes 10,000 double rubs (Wyzenbeek).

Mistral

The Mistral winds flow through France, making an impact and providing the particular climate of regions such as Provence. Brentano’s 54” upholstery Mistral also makes an impact with its gorgeous herringbone pattern available in 3 classic, natural colors: Ivory, Sandstone, and Linen. Stunning it its simplicity, this pattern is woven from 100% Belgian linen, which provides an elegant sheen and also makes it part of the Brentano Green label. Mistral passes 10,000 double rubs (Wyzenbeek).

Sirocco

The drapery counterpart to upholsteries Mistral and Ostro, Sirocco is named for the speedy winds that breeze through Mediterranean countries. Woven from 100% Belgian linen, this 58” drapery has a classic, crisp linen look that is slightly sheer and available in two natural colors—perfect for interiors seeking a sophisticated, airy window treatment. Part of the Brentano Green label, Sirocco can be treated to pass NFPA 701 Small Scale for use in commercial environments.
